Ali MacGraw
Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model, author, designer and activist for animal rights. Ali MacGraw is well-known for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. The desire to become an artist was influenced by her family background as a member of an New York family of artists. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to modeling and acting. She was noticed in her first two movies and received Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international success, earning her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. MacGraw was deemed the top box office star in the world in just three movies. Handprints, signatures and footprints were made in 1972 at Grauman's Chinese Theater. The other films she has appeared on comprise The Getaway Convoy Players, the miniseries on TV The Winds of War and others. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw's been married three different occasions.
