Zoe-perry

Perry is a Chicago native born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first appearance was in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on her role on the ABC comedy Roseanne. Her parents, however, did not want her to pursue acting until she became an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry said that she was nervous to be an actor during high school, but started doing shows in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring to the university from Boston University. Perry went on to New York, where she landed small roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness led Perry her back home California, where theater jobs were available. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. In the year 2015, she was with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, she starred in her own recurring part on the ABC political thriller Scandal which starred her father. Also, she was cast on her role on the CBS show The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. The character was picked by auditions, even though she had a close relationship with the show.
