The actress landed her first TV performance at the age of seven on an episode of the CBS sitcom Listen Up!. Her next roles were in Monk Bones, ER and different programs. In 2007 was cast as Gretchen on The Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. Her breakout performance in live-action came the following year in the role of Alex Dunphy of the hit TV show Modern Family.
