Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, is a singer-songwriter and Canadian American. She's released over 20 albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk-rock and alternative rock although it has additional influences from punk funk hiphop and jazz. Ani diFranco was among the first person to create her own record company in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icon. DiFranco was born on the 23rd September 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who had the pleasure of meeting Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father comes from Italian roots. Ani DiFranco sang and wrote 32 Flavors.
