Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is American Canadian singer and songwriter. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as alternative and folk. But, they contain influences from jazz hip hop punk as well as funk. Ani diFranco was the first musician to start her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icon. DiFranco born on 23 September 1970 in the city of Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian descent, and her mother came from Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and performed the song 32 Flavors. The track is part of her 1995 album Not a Pretty Girl, that was her sixth studio album. The song was featured on the soundtrack to the 1999 Canadian romance film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco acknowledged her apology in 2013, when the news broke that she was hosting the three-day event on the site of a Louisiana former slave plantation. However, many (including the author of this article) were not able to sense any regret. DiFranco issued a further apology days later. Although she is known by the name of Little Folksinger her music spans many styles and collaborations that range between Pete Seeger to Chuck D to Prince. She lives in New Orleans. Ani diFranco as well as Kristen Ford are together. When she was 14, she had begun writing her own songs. When she was in her teens, she played the songs in bars and cafes. DiFranco graduated from her Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school when she was 16 and began attending classes at Buffalo State College. Ani's baritone is a customized Alvarez guitar that was made following several consultations with Chrys, an Alvarez artist representative at the time. It is built of solid woods, including a top made of cedar, with mahogany sides and back. The guitar also comes with the System 600 Preamp.
