Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. She is the author of more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as alternative rock, folk rock, but it also has influences of jazz and hip hop. Ani DiFranco has been widely acknowledged as a female icon and Grammy award-winning musician is widely regarded as the pioneer in DIY music. It was one of the first artists to establish their own labels in 1990. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd, 1970. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco whom she had been in contact while at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The mother of her is from Montreal and her father has Italian origins. Ani diFranco wrote and sang the song 32 Flavors. The song debuted on her 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. The track is on the film's soundtrack the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco acknowledged her apology in 2013, after it was discovered she was planning to host 3 days of a workshop at one of the Louisiana ex-slave plantation. The event was cancelled yet she refused to express regret. DiFranco offered a second apology three days later. Her name is associated with her Little Folksinger style, but she's performed with many musicians and styles that range from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. The singer lives in New Orleans. Ani diFranco, and Kristen Ford are together. She began writing songs at the age of 14 years old. The songs were performed in cafes and bars throughout her teenage years. DiFranco graduated from her Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school in the year sixteen and enrolled in Buffalo State College. Ani DiFranco is a punk/folk musician and songwriter who was 25 years old when she debuted her seventh album Not A Pretty Girl and gained even more recognition in the public with Dilate. The song, a pop rock hit from 1972 (You're a fine girl) was written by American band Looking Glass for their debut album Looking Glass. Elliot Lurie was the Looking Glass guitarist and singer.
